I Need to Run More

After two cups of Tryst coffee on Saturday morning, it was necessary for me to release some excess energy because, as anyone who frequents this establishment knows, Tryst coffee stays with you for days. What better way to accomplish this on a beautiful unseasonably cool July morning than to jog my butt around down around the White House since, well, I live ten blocks from the White House. Because my most significant thoughts come to me while I run, I wanted to share with you some of the wisdom that my endorphins delivered.

1. The only people in suits on Saturdays are Republicans.
2. No matter how stupid, slow, and unfamiliar the tourists seem, they WILL get out of your way if you are running AT them at a high rate of speed. Even the kids.
3. All gay dance music sounds the same. No, seriously. Really. All of it.
4. The worst part about living under this administration living ten blocks from the White House and having to say “Wow, it’s amazing that I live ten blocks from the White House, but ...”
